The Memorial Building located in the downtown district is an ideal spot for smaller events, family reunions and parties. A tribute to hometown veterans who no longer hold a place in our homes, but who are still very alive in hearts is memorialized here. This building also holds the memories of the Goree School which no longer opens its' door as GISD, but as The Knox Prairie Event Center.
